GO - Berlinale 2015: And the winners are fellow PuristS …

Feb 12, 2015,13:04 PM

Over the past few months, the Saxon watch manufacturer Glashütte Original has invited the company's friends and connoisseurs to submit their own film concepts which illustrate their individual perception of Glashütte Original and show the brand from a new, somewhat unusual perspective. A jury had to decide about the concepts and which one got produced. I guess this was not an easy task, because there have been quite a few and only five lucky winners got the chance to realize their concepts. This has resulted in five unique short films that document very personal connections with Glashütte Original and at the same time focus on the special features of the manufactory.

Five short films altogether and two of them are from (three) fellow PuristS.

Living the mechanical dream - Jocke & Tony from Sweden provided two very similar concepts in the beginning and at the end they decided to do it together. For most of you here it won´t be a surprise, because they are well-known as a team here anyway. Just think about their famous Basel trips/reports … smile

My way with Glashütte Original – Zhiming from Hongkong did the second one and “old timers” at PuristS will remember him and his eclectic collection quite well.

There was a short introduction before we entered the (private) cinema at SOHO-House Berlin.

I just got a very comfortable seat in the middle of row three. Just the way I like it!

In case you didn´t already see the films, please look here: glashutte.watchprosite.com

After the superb presentations there have been flowers for the lucky producers and team members from GO.

As you can see the mood was quite relaxed after the presentations and we also had a nice discussion about the personal experiences during the projects. Some had been a bit "nervous" before and are still not used to see their face on a big cinema screen. At least I could understand this very well smile

Each event dedicated to watches needs at least one picture to show what is on the wrists. Glashütte Original managing director Yann Gamard joined the group and here we go …

I trust you have seen the nice (pre-) post by Jocke and Tony and their selected watches for the very special weekend in Berlin. In case you didn´t, please have a look here: glashutte.watchprosite.com

Gentlemen it was a real pleasure to meet you in Berlin and to see the great outcome of your projects initiated and realized by Glashütte Original.

Thanks to the team from GO for their warm welcome!

Oliver
