Best strap solution: Call JLC and ask!

Aug 30, 2015,08:44 AM

You should simply call JLC's watch strap manufacture and see what kinds of straps they can supply for the Reverso GS Chrono.  Their number can be found here.

I had called about a year ago to see if a leather strap for a GS Auto was still available.  It was, and the price was lower than what I had expected (though still not cheap).

It would be extremely interesting to hear if they would create/supply a leather strap for the Chrono.  The fact that they had not done so previously does not necessarily mean that they would not now.  (The likelihood may be low, but one never knows until one asks.)

Gran Sport Chrono questions

 By: Marcus Hanke : August 20th, 2015-05:43
I have to admit that since many years, better: since a decade, the Reverso Gran Sport chronograph was for me the definite Reverso watch, since it made perfect use of the Reverso concept of two independent sides. Additionally, it is one of my all-time favo...

The Gran Sport Chrono is a really nice watch! And the movement is superb - love the retrograde counter! :) As for the dial - my understanding is that the T-marked are the only once with Tritium while the others have luminova. Yes, both versions of numeral...

1/ T Swiss Made T dials are the only ones to be Tritium. The others are luminova. 2/ The 3 / 9 dials are the first. They came both with or without Tritium. I have a preference for the Tritium one. 3/ Both " full arabic " and 3 / 9 dials existed, indeed. 4...

Leather straps for Gran Sport ...

 By: Marcus Hanke : August 21st, 2015-03:08
It seems there have been leather straps at least for the time-only Gran Sport: I found several pictures and offers online for these watches, equipped with the leather strap. The question is, though, whether the dimensions of the lugs are identical on the...

Initially, the full-Arabic dials were slated for the rubber straps, whereas the 3/9 dials were for the bracelet version (although technically interchangeable). By 2004/5 (right before being discontinued), the full-Arabic was showing on all models and the ...

Thanks for your input, Dean. I can confirm that getting a rubber strap is not an easy task

In fact, this is a question I have to ask to the Manufacture. Do they still provide rubber straps for this line, or not. They provided one for a member of our forum, but it was not that easy. Best, Nicolas

Dean, I got an answer from the Manufacture. The rubber straps are available on request.

The Manufacture can provide them, without any problem. Best, Nicolas

Leather band is

only available for the automatic. Chronograph and duo have different lug width. You also need to purchase a separate deployant buckle for the leather band. Third party could be available, but definitely not from Camille Fournet.
