PanoInverse: How do you like it?

Aug 06, 2014,11:32 AM

White Gold:

Or Stainless Steel?

Forget the ( huge ) difference in price, just focuse on the dials.

It is amazing how theb personality of the watch can change with a different chromatic presentation.

While the white gold made a big impression on me, the stainless steel, with its  dark look is less spectacular, but more " concept watch ", perhaps.

On the wrist, the white gold version has, naturally, a bigger density, but is it enough to prefer it to the stainless steel?

I wondered, as I love a lot this watch, the original display of the double swan neck on the dial side.

How many watches do we have, in the current collections, which are close to the PanoInverse?

The AP Millenary 4101 and the Breguet La Tradiition are the two which come to our mind, indeed.

The PanoInverse shows less than its two contenders, certainly, but doesn't lack charm.

What is your take, here?

I am quite surprised to not read more  posts about this PanoInverse, lately.

Best,

Nicolas

..when entering the store in Frankfurt about 2 years ago; the grey offers better contrast IMO; and the pink jewels fit nicely the dark grey dial. a great piece, feels special when wearing it and gives a sophisticated modern touch to the collection, kind o...

All in all...

I prefer the steel version: it tells me the impression of a technical instrument. Something that can be seen only taking the time necessary, looking closely, since it is rather monochrome and sober. And I also appreciate the particularity of the bottom, s...

When I saw the white gold, it was love at first sight. When the stainless steel came out..

It was adoration! Yes, it takes time to understand then love it, I agree. I love the idea behind the Watch, and especially the double swan neck hilighted in a very modern, almost abstract environment. Do you have it? Best, Massi! Nicolas

No, not yet!

But I was very close to making the purchase... I know it's only a matter of time, surely! Best, my friend massi

SS for me

as I preferred the darker look and one that caused the shine of the balance cocks and the jewels to stand out as stars. The grey dial also makes it looks smaller than it is which is preferred as my wrists are small. A keeper for me, this one is. Richard

Indeed! Funny how the stainless steel and its dark dial gives a futuristic look

Plus the density..... I agree... Mo

There was a stylistic change a couple of years ago about the PI

I can t quite remember but they made a very subtle(!) change on the bezel I think....from pictures it was impossible to spot. Do you remember what were the differences between the latest SS version compared to the one before? Mo

I remember a thicker bezel...

after leaving the shop wearing my new Senator Chronometer in WG I rushed back in with a wild look in my eyes. Karl-Heinz was coming down the stairs and almost shouted, "Amery, what's the matter?" I had just spotted the original-styled PanoInverse in SS lo...

Thanks for your superb feedback, Amery. Feel free to post pictures as...
