For me, the bold, large display of the time, vs the small off-center display in the Duometre, is more pleasing. But I completely understand the attraction of the Duometre, and if it were 39 or even 40mm, would still be in my collection! Best, Marc
I reallt\y debated with myself for sometime before going with the "warmer" RG version. I have the WG in the Lange 1815 Chrono, and while I love this watch as well, it definitely is quite "austere" in WG. Here is a quick wrist shot of my RG version of the 5247. Thanks for your great post! Marc

I have enjoyed this watch as well since Dec 2009. It remains one of my favorites. My only gripe is that my wrist is really too small to absorb the 42mm case. Much better for me would be 38mm. Thanks for your great review. Marc
