My goodness, FX - the watch in the last photo wasn't in the press release . . .

. . . nor in Jocke's, Tony's, or M & O's report. It appears to be a skeleton cal 49 in a Senator case . . . can you provide any details? Intrigued, Art

I take it back - Tony provided excellent images . . .

. . . of this 2012 novelty in his report, including a movement photo . . . g . . . that indicates its origins as a manual-winding cal 49....

Thanks for sharing such marvelous pictures. best,

What were you initial impressions....

Regarding the 44mm size of the Senator Observer? Did 44mm feel too large on the wrists or was it appropriately balanced? Cheers, Cholack

It was appropriately balanced on my wrist.

Yes the watch is big but thanks to the size of the subdials, it looks balanced. My fav version is the slate dial by far: first of all, the colour reduces the feeling of size, it is more original and the dial is really well made. Fx

All look fantastic.

Really another stellar year for GO.

Which one?

Which watch is the very first one??

The first one is the new version . . .

. . . of the PanoReserve. The designers at Glashütte drained a bit of the character of the original for a more elegant presentation. I'd be happy with either, but this version has won me over. Are you considering a PanoReserve for your own collection? Cor...

Ah!

Thank you Art. I did not see this exact layout (one similar) on their website, but I may have missed it (unless it's a 2012 model and not posted). Is this new model available yet? And yes I am. Looked at Lange, but for the $ Glashutte may be a nice compli...

You're right! Their website hasn't been updated . . .

. . . and the reason may be that the new models haven't made their way into dealer inventory yet, so the current stock is still comprised of the original version. And as for intrinsic value, that would be Glashütte's calling card . . . they offer muc...

Any idea when the 65-01-22-12-04 (which is what I believe is pictured) will be released? It really is nice with the blue hands and the dial layout.

Usually, new models start showing up at dealers . . .

 By: Dr No : June 7th, 2012-14:17
. . . in August, but there are exceptions to that rule. The Senator Chronometer, for example, was available almost immediately after Basel '09. Is there a G O dealer in your vicinity?

No dealer...

No unfortunately not. But will try and locate one on my next trip, once this watch is released. Any idea on pricing thus far?

The current model lists . . .

. . . for ~ $9K in steel, to the best of my knowledge, but I'll check with Our Man in Glashütte for current pricing. Hope to see one on your wrist soon! Best, Art
