Glashütte Original Senator Calendar:
Special Edition Nebra for Basel’s Historical Museum

On the occasion of the exhibition A Forged Sky – Religion and Astronomy 3,600 Years Ago (29 September 2006 to 29 January 2007) in Basel’s Historical Museum, German luxury manufactory Glashütte Original and Gübelin Jewelers present a wristwatch limited to ten pieces worldwide – the Senator Calendar Nebra.
This lavish model features Glashütte Original’s typical panorama date.

Two hands located in the upper half of the dial display the day of the week and the month.

This model’s moon phase display is especially striking: It has been created in the same turquoise green color as the Nebra sky disk.

This is the world’s oldest depiction of the cosmos, made 3,600 years ago in bronze and discovered near the city Nebra in Saxony-Anhalt (Germany).

One of the limited Glashütte Original Senator Complete Calendar Nebra models will remain on display for the duration of the exhibition in Basel’s Historical Museum.

These precious timekeepers are exclusively available at branches of Gübelin Jewelers.

The Senator Complete Calendar Nebra is housed in a cylindrical, polished stainless steel case. It is combined with a handcrafted, integrated Louisiana crocodile skin strap in black. Its silver-colored dial is cleanly designed and features gold-colored hands and applied elements.

The hand displays for day of the week and month can be easily set by individual correctors located on the side of the case. Automatic Caliber 100-05 forms the heart of this precise mechanical wristwatch.
