"In the flesh". GO novelties '06, pt. 2: 'Pure' Senators

When the new Senator series was presented last year, several comments were made about the finely stamped guilloche structure of the dials. It compromises the clean design of the watch, it was said. This year, these critics have no base any more, since for them, GO is offering a plain dial, at first for the Senator Perpetual and the Senator Panorama (also the new complete calendar and the calendar week have this plain dial).

In a move towards even more 'purity' GO releases a series of highly elegant 'reduced' Senators. Stripped of its sweep second hand and the calendar mechanism, its movement fits into a very flat case. Until now, the watch is offered with steel and pink gold cases, a platinum version will be available too, but as a limited edition. Dial colours are silver, champagne, grey, mocca (dark brown, looks good!) and possible blue for the platinum version, which has not been definitely decided upon yet. I think that a white gold version would be nice as well, maybe replacing the steel version. What do you think?
