Decided to put it on after watching the Hurley Haywood interview on Hodinkee..

His AK was really worn with a lot of scratches all around. Looked really nice. I wish I was that carefree with my watches but my OCD gets in the way. I don’t mind getting to that point where it has a lot of wear but the journey to get to that would drive me nuts!

Anyway, this will probably be my watch ‘til Easter. Enjoy your day folks smile

I find the dial a bit too busy for my liking but it definitely has some charm, enjoy it in good health!

I watched that talking watches.

Must be nice to have Rolex as a sponsor… (and Porsche)! Your watch looks great. And you don’t have to beat it up to wear it. I’m with you on this one.

You should!

I was wondering if you folks in the automotive forum would ever consider an AK as a driving watch. It was about trying to break speed records after all.

I do!

When you’re sponsored by Rolex it would be easier to “Shake and bake” the watches. Mine says hi. ...

Indeed! :-)

When I buy a watch thinking ‘it’ll be my beater, I still hate the thought of scratches. So I got a G-Shock too so now that takes all the beatings.

Also a good choice 😀
