We can see a "look" developing for the steel models

A correction just appeared on the Hodinkee report, as follows:
Vacheron has clarified that this is not a Jaeger-LeCoultre movement; it's produced by the Richemont Group's Manufacture Horlogère ValFleurier and finished, assembled, and regulated by Vacheron Constantin.
A modular case like the Qdi is suggested in the pics of the FiftySix, which means 30m WR. The case size of the FiftySix family is 40mm; described as "mid-size" and less imposing than the 41mm QdI.
Vacheron Constantin
At $17,400 in steel, the FiftySix Day-Date has my interest, with in-house Geneva Seal caliber 2475.

But 40mm plus that oversized crown has me concerned it will not suit a smaller wrist :-(
